What is Direct Primary Care?

Heart of Heights DPC seeks to get back to the heart of family medicine through relationship based care. Care that is accessible and convenient. Care that is up-to-date and reliable. Care that you can count on.

What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care is direct to patient medical care. Patients pay a monthly membership fee to a medical practice for their primary care needs. There are no insurance bills, insurance co-pays, or deductibles. All preventative, routine and sick visits are covered in the membership. (Visit our Services page)

Benefits of Direct Primary Care

• Direct access to Dr. Georges through email, text or phone

• More personalized and accessible care

• Fewer constraints from commercial insurers which translates to less out of pocket costs for the patient

Is Direct Primary Care the same as Concierge Medicine?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) and Concierge Medicine are not the same. While they share patient-centric values, their financial structures differ significantly. DPC focuses on affordability, accessibility and direct patient-doctor relationship with a lower monthly fee. In contrast, Concierge Medicine emphasizes exclusivity with a higher annual retainer fee.

How are we different?

Fewer patients. Average family medicine providers care for thousands of patients and have a significant overhead and staff to manage this care. Direct primary care doctors care for hundreds of patients which means unhurried, quality care for you.

Doctor-Patient Relationship Prioritized. You don’t just get the luck of the draw at every visit. You get to see your physician- the one who knows you. Every time.

Customized healthcare. Your care is tailored directly to you: your preferences, your stage of life, the things that make you unique by providing truly custom healthcare. Every visit with Dr. Georges will be thorough, relaxed and as long as you need in order to address your specific health concerns.

Private pay. The monthly membership fee allows decisions regarding your healthcare to be made by you and Dr. Georges for your primary care. Patients find this decreases their costs for emergency and hospital care and decreases need for costly visits to specialists. This translates to decreased time and worry for the patient.

Saves money. You won’t have to pay for office visits or routine physical. You will also be able to avoid many visits altogether by sending questions directly to your physician via secure text, phone call or email. No insurance means more time with you.

Saves time. Imagine scheduling your own appointment with next day appointments available. Imagine no waiting room when you arrive to your appointment. Imagine time saved by avoiding urgent care with just a text or a phone call directly to your physician.

This is healthcare like you have never experienced it before. It is like having a doctor as a member of your family.
